Meet Dave Nilson

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from West Virginia University, Dave spent four years working as an internal auditor before building a successful career as a Realtor, where he spent more than a decade helping families navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Those experiences continue to influence the way he manages every remodeling project, with careful planning, attention to detail, honest communication, and respect for every homeowner’s investment.

Driven by a passion for craftsmanship and the satisfaction of transforming homes, Dave transitioned into remodeling full time, building hands-on experience across more than 200 completed projects over the past six-plus years. Today, every project is still personally overseen by Dave from start to finish. Whether it’s a bathroom remodel, kitchen renovation, interior or exterior painting, flooring installation, custom carpentry, repair work, or a whole-home renovation, the same hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to quality remain the foundation of every job.

When he’s not on a job site, Dave enjoys spending time with Caroline and their daughter, Mila. Building a family and building a business have reinforced the same values, patience, trust, communication, and doing things the right way. Those principles don’t stop at home, they’re reflected in every client relationship and every remodeling project.

Nilson Remodeling isn’t built around completing as many projects as possible. It’s built around earning trust, building lasting relationships, and creating an experience homeowners feel confident recommending to their friends, family, and neighbors. From the initial walkthrough to the final punch list, Dave remains personally involved to ensure every project reflects the same level of care, communication, and craftsmanship that has become the foundation of the company.
