Basement Cleanout & Protective Finish Refresh

Basement Cleanout & Protective Finish Refresh

Tuckerton, NJ

This older Tuckerton basement needed a complete reset. Years of shelving, stored belongings, an outdated laundry setup, and a makeshift bedroom made the space feel dark, crowded, and difficult to maintain. We emptied the entire basement, removed the existing storage systems, and fully demolished the enclosed rear room to restore a cleaner, more open layout.

The masonry walls were coated with DRYLOK, while the concrete and tile floors received a durable Tread-Plex coating for a brighter, more uniform finish. Additional lighting improved visibility throughout the exposed utility areas. We also upgraded the entire approach to the basement with a glass-panel French door, new framing and finished drywall, and refinished stairs connecting the kitchen, laundry landing, and basement.
